The Power of Sacrifice

There is something that you can do that will catapult you higher in life, beyond the ordinary. If you want your destiny to illuminate to the lime light; if you want to make a mark on the sands of time. If you want to carry the presence of God; if you want the world to see the manifestation of God In your life. There is something called sacrifice and it is very powerful.

"And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the Lord my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver. And David built there an altar unto the Lord, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the Lord was intreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.” {2 Sam 24:24-25}

Sacrifice is able to give you a turnaround blessing if you can key into it.

It can change a person story from shame to glory.

Sacrifice of Jesus

Jesus tapped in to the power of sacrifice.

He laid his life down by himself to attain the greatest glory.

Jesus humbled himself to die for mankind.

This is the reason it was bestowed on him a name that is above all name; A name St such every pet must now, because of the power of Sacrifice.

There are two types of believers; the one that cannot sacrifice and the one that can sacrifice for the lord almighty.

Satan fears every sacrificial believer.

What is Sacrifice?

Sacrifice is giving your most precious and costly for God.

v If your giving to God is not painful then you can receive gainfully reward

It is a pity that a lot of people are doing the work of God but not with sacrifice.

ü Many ushers doing their work with squeezed face instead of cheerful face.

ü Some teachers will just teach in the house of God just for the sake of it.

ü Some people in the choir will just sing as it please them.

If you do all this works for God without sacrifice; it would not carry its full reward.

Sacrifice of Paul

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit." {John 12:24}

"I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.” {1 Cor 15:31}

Paul says, I die daily; Sacrifice is actual death

Paul was an embodiment of sacrifice. The reason he overtook the people that he met in the ministry and he went ahead of him

“Arethey ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft." {2 Cor 11:23}

This is the reason apostle Paul was able to overtake others, even though he came late.

Sacrifice; Paul was imprison, Beaten, persecuted, shipwrecked and a lot was done to him and still He help on to God and counted it all joy.

 The great strategy of the devil is not to stop you from going to church; the devil strategy is to try to take away our sacrifice

Don’t serve God only when it is at your own comfort.

Sacrifice of Solomon

Solomon knew that power of sacrifice.

He sacrificed to God 1000 animals. This made God to seek him to bless him.

Nowadays; the church is losing the power of Sacrifice.

v There was a time when ladies can never come to church in trousers or any indecent dress.

v There was a time when adultery is a taboo in the church.

People are now shifting their sacrifice to other unimportant things; things that are temporary.

A lot of people have been a Christian for many years but they have not been able to make sacrifice

ü After many years in church; they have not been able to pray, to receive the Holy Spirit.

ü After many years in church; they have never joined any group.

ü  After many years in church; they cannot point to something tangible they have done for the lord.

ü  After many years in church; they cannot remember a soul that they have witnessed to.

Answer this Question Sincerely:

What has your Christian cost you?

What have you lost; because you are a Christian?

Has it cost you your dressing; dissociation of some friends and the likes.

It you Christianity has not cost you; then you are practicing a different kind of religion.

Benefits of sacrifice

The Gateway to Supernatural Increase

The is an easy way a child of God could enter into unlimited blessings and increase; if many will choose this path, it will be the beginning of unending favour and outpouring of blessings form heaven without measures. Today, we are been taught the gateway of supernatural increase; it is praise and thanksgiving; the message is a revelation of what a lot of people have missed unconsciously by not giving due praises as expected. We are also been taught the way and manner we can praise God; to be accepted by heavens and to bring manifold covenant increase on us; through praise and thanksgiving.

The Gateway of supernatural increase

"The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day:" {Isa 38:19}

There is a very cogent reason, why everybody is required to thank God

Praise God because you are alive

It is only the living can praise God.

15 WAYS TO TAKE GOD FOR GRANTED

Many Christians are grounded in life because they take God for granted

1.    By murmuring and complaining.

2.    By comparing yourself with another.

3.    By refusing to see the point where God has brought you from.

4.    By allowing anxiety to take over your life.

5.    By being Sad because of the little challenge. “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." {1 Peter 5:7}

6.    By forgetting all the benefits you have enjoyed from God.

7.    By speaking more of your defeats.

8.    By Thinking all you have gotten is by your power, wisdom, ability or strength. "A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven." {John 3:27}

Avoid taking God for Granted; then you will automatically get supernatural increase

Praise & Thanksgiving

v It still make the devil sad and makes God happy.

v There it is a way you can praise God that will attract God himself to intervene in situations.

v Thanksgiving and praise qualifies you for another set of blessings.

v The more praise you give, the more attractive you will be for blessing.

v Food of God is praise; don’t starve God.

v You Thank god what he had done but Praise God for who he is?

v People pray to God fervently but people’s praise to God not fervently.

12 Evidence of Increase

1.    Become noticeable.

2.    Move forward

3.    Person of influence

4.    Enlargement

5.    Become bigger and better

6.    Experience expansion

7.    Become rich and wealth

8.    To be envied and not to be pitied

HOW TO PRAISE GOD EFFECTIVELY

1. with your voice. Psalm 34:1

2. with your clap. It confuses the enemy. Psalm 47:1

3. with Dance. This is not entertainment our reservist, it is a spiritual transaction. Psalm 149:9

4. with all your heart.

5. With a living spirit; it is the living that will praise the lord.

You can pray amiss but you can't praise amiss. It is either you praise God or you don't praise God.

Word of the Day: Accessing Divine Understanding

Accessing Divine Understanding

How can a person get understanding? Who can we classify as the wise?

How can we get to know the mysteries of God that will enable us tap into the virtues and blessings of God and so that we might not be a casualty in this world?

A lot of people do not have a clear knowledge on how to acquire knowledge and understanding; thereby they have missed out of the blessing God have for them.

Going to church or being a casual Christian does not guarantee Divine understanding; you will need to move from the religion to the conscious Christianity; we are looking at the basic key of acquiring divine wisdom.

Divine Understanding is a manifestation of the supernatural wisdom of God in us.

Keys to Accessing divine understanding

v Born Again: mat 18:3. This is a requirement to benefits the dividends of heaven

v Regular Church Service: You need the corporate anointing. God raise pastors to give us knowledge   Palm 73:17

v Complete Obedience. Psalm 111:19; psalm 119:100 David understood more than his teachers because of obedience to the princess of God.

v Seeking the Lord. Prov 28:5    A man that desires wisdom must know how to seeking God in fasting and prayers.

v Seek knowledge.  Dan 9:2. Be a man that read books, listen to tape

v Discipleship Mat 13:10-11, 51      There is a privilege given to the disciples,

Jesus reveals more mysteries to his disciples.  

He reveals deep secret of understanding

v Faith. Heb 11:3, 6 God is able to do ask things. His is willing to give understand. Our part is to have faith.

v Prayer psalm 119:34.  He needs to specifically pray for wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Learn to pray before reading Bible

v Fasting. Dan 9:3   Daniel ……

v Silence. Avoid gossip, talkativeness. Prov 27:28        Learn to keep quiet.1st Thes 4:17

v Observation. Psalm107:43 learn to observe. Job 13:1 job used his eyes and ears to obtain understanding.

v Patience Prov 14:29.   This is a key attribute

Don't be quick to negatively react to every thing

v Service. Psalm 119:125. When you serve the lord, you will understand.

Solomon requested for seen understanding heart in order to use it to serve the people of God.

v Enquiry. Daniel, David all ask certain issues from God to clarify them.

v Holiness Prov 9:10   Knowledge of God brings wisdom. Knowledge of the holy one is understanding. Only the holly people can understands God.

v Wisdom: Jer 9:12. Only three wise can severe divine understanding.

What to Do!

1.   Depart from evil

2.   Embrace correction.

3.   Be determined

4.   Stand under God authority based on the power of his word

5. Pray for divine understanding

Prayer Points

1.   Father, please fill me with the fullness of the knowledge of God in the name of Jesus

2.   Lord of heaven and earth, wisdom and might are yours, please let me be filled with wisdom and might as from today in the name of Jesus (Daniel 2:20).

3.   Everlasting father, please fill me with your excellent wisdom in the name of Jesus (Daniel 5:14).

4.   Father as I gain wisdom, give me divine retentive memory as well in the name of Jesus.

5.   Father! I commit my life into your hand; let the fire of God destroy everything in me that is working against the knowledge and wisdom of God, in the name of Jesus.

6.   It is written “Christ is the power of God and wisdom of God” (1Corinthians 1:24). Heavenly Father, please fill me as from today with the fullness of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.

7.   Almighty, my success is in your hand, please let your excellent spirit of wisdom catapult me to greater height in the name of Jesus (Isaiah 11:2).

8.   Father, let your wisdom prevail in every area of my life and business in the name Jesus name.

9.   Lord, help me to hear your voice and to make the right decisions at all time in the name Jesus name.

10.                   Lord, help me carry out my decision-making accurately and profitably.

11.                   Lord, give me new and creative ideas in the name Jesus name.

12.                   Father, let the Holy Spirit show me things to come in the business world.

13.                   Lord, direct me to stop planning and working on any project which will waste our time and energy.

14.                   Let every spirit causing financial wastage depart from my life and business in the name of Jesus.
