PRAY FOR THE NATION {Day 1}
Have you ever wondered why things are not going well with the nation?
Do you believe that the spiritual realm controls the physical realm which we live in?
Do you know that, there is an great power that can deliver anyone, anything, any situation anywhere to the uttermost?
Do you agree with me that we have been quiet for so long as a nation and thus the enemy is cheating us?
Don’t you think the nation could deteriorate more if nothing is done in the spirit realm?
Have thought of why the Christians of this days is not in charge of the nation like the days of hold?
Do you remember the nation in you quiet time apart from the one pray in your church?
“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee”. { Ps 122:6}
When last have you prayed for your nation last?
We Need to Pray for Our Nation |
Why we need to pray for our nation?
Ø God has committed this world into our hands as believers. The bible says wherever we set out foot upon belong to us; why will we allow our belongings to suffer.
Ø The good of the land will yield us good also; because when there is plenty in the land, we will also eat plenty; when there is crisis, then we won’t even to manage our so called “businesses”
Ø Having a mentality of “It doest Concern me” shows an attribute of selfishness which God hates. “Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ” {Gal 6:2}
Ø If we keep quiet, blood shed will continue; don’t forget that God hates bloodshed. Also remember that blood usually cry and it could bring curse on the land and generations.
Ø We need to pray for the land because most people in the affairs of the nation are being controlled by some powers they cannot phantom; ultimately most of them need deliverance; this is responsible for a lot of wrong decisions.
Ø We need to know pray in order to let the will of God to be established; God sees beyond the physical; a lot of our assumptions and things we fight for, even in government/politics is based on ignorance. God will just look and laugh. The bible says; “My people perish for lack of knowledge” {Hosea 4:6}. I pray: We will not perish; our nation will not perish in the name of Jesus.
Ø We need to pray because God is desperately looking for people to intercede for this nation; but He found none. “And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.” { Isa 59:16}
Prayer is the most potent force known to humanity. Because we have been made partakers in Jesus’ victory over sin and death (1 John 4:4), we have the authority as sons and daughters of God to pray for others, pushing back the darkness of sin and oppression. In prayer, we have a weapon that has “divine power to destroy strongholds” (2 Corinthians 10:4).
“The prayer of a righteous man has great power in its effects” {James 5:16}, and there is no one more righteous than Jesus—the most powerful intercessor whoever walked the earth. Martha, the sister of Lazarus, rightly declared, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. And even now I know that whatever you ask from God, God will give you” {John 11:21-22}.
